EVENT DETAILs

WELCOME: Music City Sports/USSSA present the 2025 MUSIC CITY CHALLENGE. This event will be played at the beautiful Triple Creek Park in Gallatin, TN. Gallatin is roughly 30 minutes to Country Music USA and downtown Nashville, TN. The format for this outstanding event is 3 pool games plus double elimination. 

ROSTERS: Teams are required to have their rosters and guest players submitted on their online roster before the event starts. If a team does not have all their players on their USSSA roster, they are subject to forfeiture.  This includes guest players as well. We DO NOT do paper rosters.

FORMAT/GAME INFO: The format for this event is 3 pool games plus double elimination. All game times are 65 minutes, finish the inning. Run rule is 12/3, 10/4, 8/5. In order to keep the games on time, there is not a tie breaker in pool play.

SEEDING FOR BRACKET PLAY:

1. W/L Record 2. Head to Head 3. Runs Allowed 4. Run differential (8 Runs Max) 5. USSSA Points

PRE GAME INFO: Home team will be the official scorekeeper. Home team will be decided by coin flip in pool play and the higher seeded team will have the option in bracket play.

TEAM CHECK IN: We do not have a team check in at the event, everything is done online.

REFUND POLICY: 1. No refunds or credits will be issued to any team dropping out once the schedule has been posted or 10 days prior to the event start date. If the event has three or less teams a full refund will be awarded at any time a team wants to drop out.  

PROTEST INFO: Protest fee is $200 cash and is refundable if upheld by the tournament director or UIC. All protests must be made prior to the next pitch. You cannot protest judgment calls.

GAME BALLS: Will be furnished by the teams in pool play and the tournament will supply them in bracket play.

GUEST PLAYERS: If you are picking up players from another USSSA team, this must be done online by logging into your USSSA account.

BIRTH CERTIFICATES: Must be on hand at the event in case another team protests the age of one of your players.

INSURANCE: If teams do not have USSSA insurance, teams must email a copy of their insurance to [email protected] before their first game.

COMMUNICATION: We use the USSSA APP Push Notifications, event website page, email, Facebook and X for event communication purposes. Please encourage your teams to download the USSSA app so they can receive these messages as well. If you do not have the USSSA APP, you will not receive text push notifications.

COOLER POLICY: There isn’t one, bring in as many as you wish.

GAMEDAY INFO: All Pool, bracket scores and standings will be posted online, we DO NOT post anything at the event.

The entry fee can be paid by logging into your USSSA account or teams can click the link above and pay their entry fee by Venmo as well. Teams are not officially in the event until the entry fee has been paid.

The team gate fee can only be paid by Venmo by clicking the link above.

We will not take an individual gate at this event, the team gate fee is put in place of a traditional gate. No wristbands, stamps, tickets etc. Everyone can come and go as they please. Invite the grandparents, aunts, uncles, friends and not worry about them having to pay to get in.
