Showcase Rules

USSSA Rules will apply with the exception to those rules which are below.

 

SUBSTITUTIONS 

Teams can bat their entire roster. Teams choosing to roster bat may disperse additional players (starters who aren't listed as defensive starters) anywhere in their batting order to bat. If a player leaves the game for any reason, it creates an absent player (automatic out) situation.

 

COURTESY RUNNERS

Teams may use their last completed at bat for courtesy runners if no unused substitute is available. 

GAME TIME 

Exposure pool games are 80 minutes finish the inning with NO tie breaker being played. Elimination games will be 70 minutes with the mercy rules in effect.

 

RUN RULE

There is NO run rule for pool play games. Elimination run rule games will be 12 after 3, 10 after 4, 8 after 5. 

DEFINITION OF TIE BREAKER

Your last batted out will be placed at second base with no outs.

WHERE TEAMS SEED IN ELIMINATION PLAY WILL BE DETERMINED BY:

  • Win / Loss Record 

  • Tied teams (Vs. each other) Winning %. Not valid if all tied teams have not played each other. 

  • Average Runs Allowed

  • Average Run Differential (Max of 8)

  • USSSA Points

 

THESE SPEED UP RULES WILL APPLY:

  • The pitcher will get 5 warm up pitches to begin the game there after she will get two.

  • There will be no arguing of calls by the coaches and there will be no protesting of games, the first purpose of the tournament is exposure and the games will not be stopped due to these matters.

 

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

  • Home team will be decided by coin toss until the championship game, then the higher seed will have the option of being home or visitor. Line up cards are to be turned into the official scorekeeper before each game. The home team is responsible for keeping the official score book. 

  • If your team is short of players you can pick up players from teams playing in the event. However, since there is an elimination round associated with this event, the game your team did have to pick up players in would be forfeited.

  • Metal cleats are permitted in this event.

  • There will be no protests allowed in this tournament.

  • Current eligible college players can play in this event, but not in 14U or 16U division games.
